ZOOLOGY, formerly known as the ‘Benelux Congress of Zoology’, is an annual zoological congress held alternately in the Netherlands and Belgium. The congress is organized by the KNDV and our Belgian sister association, the Royal Belgian Zoological Society.
The conference consists of presentations by invited speakers and participants. It is a fantastic opportunity for zoology students and young scientists to meet colleagues and to present and discuss research results.
The conference provides an overview of the current scientific work being done at Dutch and Belgian universities, as well as zoological institutes, and thus offers the ultimate opportunity to establish new contacts and start collaborations. The approximately 200 participants consist of students, but also established scientists.
Since 2001 the ‘Distinguished Zoologist Lecture’ has been presented by an invited speaker during the conferences held in the Netherlands.
The conference has been organised since 1994. Find a list of the conferences that have taken place since 1994 here.
