Royal Dutch Zoological Society - KNDV

AIM

The KNDV aims to promote the practice of zoology in the broadest sense. It seeks to achieve its objective by:

– holding scientific meetings;
– organizing biology courses;
– publishing journals;
– using all other legal means that, in the opinion of its board, may be conducive to the achievement of its objective.

BRIEF HISTORY

The Royal Dutch Zoological Society (KNDV) is a Dutch association of zoologists, founded in 1872 as the Nederlandsche Dierkundige Vereeniging (NDV). In 1876, the NDV established the NIOZ marine biology research institute.

By becoming a KNDV member you will be able to connect with a network of fellow zoologists, receive information about all KNDV meetings, and request support in organizing zoological activities.

Since October 2011, KNDV members in the master’s phase of their university studies have been able to apply for a travel grant to attend a foreign conference or conduct fieldwork/work-visit in another country.
