AIM<\/h5>\n

The KNDV aims to promote the practice of zoology in the broadest sense. It seeks to achieve its objective by:<\/p>\n

– holding scientific meetings;
\n– organizing biology courses;
\n– publishing journals;
\n– using all other legal means that, in the opinion of its board, may be conducive to the achievement of its objective.<\/p>\n

BRIEF HISTORY<\/h5>\n

The Royal Dutch Zoological Society (KNDV) is a Dutch association of zoologists, founded in 1872 as the Nederlandsche Dierkundige Vereeniging (NDV). In 1876, the NDV established the NIOZ marine biology research institute.<\/p>\n
